Stone carving takes time. Sourcing and taking delivery of the right piece of stone may take weeks, and the setting out and carving of the design has to be done with care and much attention to detail.

All lettering and related designs are hand drawn and as such, every piece is unique. After an initial discussion, which may cover the type of stone, wording and details of any decorative carving, I will prepare sketches and a rough costing.

 

Once a design is agreed a final drawing will be prepared and a detailed estimate supplied. Depending on the size of the piece a deposit may be required to cover the cost of the stone and the initial preparation. Once carving is underway, I'll be happy to email photographs of the work in progress.
